About Haryana ITI Counseling
haryanaiti.in | Updated:
The Skill Development and Industrial Training of the Government of Haryana has the responsibility of managing the government-owned Industrial Training Institutes (ITIs) and privately-managed Industrial Training Centers (ITCs). Both the ITIs and ITCs operate as post-secondary schools across Indian states. The technical training centers work to impart technical knowledge to the youngsters of the country. The official website for the ITIs in Haryana is https://itiharyana.gov.in/en.
The skill-based centers are a Government of India initiative as part of the Craftsmen Scheme, introduced during the 1950s.
The ITIs and ITCs offer a variety of trade courses – including engineering and non-engineering ones. Aspiring candidates who do not want to pursue conventional schooling and, instead, are interested in gaining technical know-how can apply to the technical training centers. Though, they have to meet the specified eligibility norms to be eligible for applying.
The duration of the trade courses varies from 6 months up to 2 years.
In India, trade programs come under the National Council of Vocational Training (NCVT) and State Council of Vocational Training (SCVT). After completing the NCVT trade courses, the candidates are awarded the National Level Trade Certificate. And upon completion of the SCVT trade programs, the State Level Trade Certificates are given.
Haryana ITI: Counseling Rounds
For admission in the Haryana ITIs, the applicants have to appear for an entrance exam, among other selection rounds. The shortlisted candidates are, then, invited for the counseling rounds. The authorities notify the counseling dates via the official website. After holding the screening rounds, the examiners release the Merit List. Subsequently, the candidates’ names who appear in the Merit List receive the provisional seat allotment letter. The following step is to fulfil the various admission formalities and pay the course fees.
Note that for appearing for the counseling rounds, the candidates are required to show their Admit Cards in the exam hall. The admit cards are downloadable from the official website as per the dates mentioned in the notification and official website.
