Fatehabad town is traced to the Fatehabad district in Haryana, which is a state in India. Aspiring candidates who reside around Fatehabad district and want to gain technical knowledge can enrol for vocational trade courses at the Industrial Training Institute in Haryana. The Fatehabad ITI was set up by the Department of Industrial Training of Haryana.
Across India, Industrial Training Institutes (ITIs) and Industrial Training Centers (ITCs) have been constituted to cater to industry requirements of skilled and semi-skilled personnel. The Government authorities manage the ITIs and private companies control the ITCs.
The ITIs and ITCs are Government of India initiatives for giving aspirants a choice of various trades, if they do not want to continue conventional studies. Under the Craftsmen Scheme of the 1950s, the ITIs and ITCs were instituted. Also, these technical training centers are referred to as post-secondary schools.
In vocational trades, candidates can select from a host of engineering and non-engineering ones. The trade programs have durations starting from 6 months and going up to 2 years.
Also, vocational trades come under two categories: the National Council of Vocational Training (NCVT) and the State Council of Vocational Training or SCVT.
Functioning on a national level, the NCVT is an advisory body that issues instructions on how to conduct the technical training courses. And the SCVT works at the state level for implementing the NCVT plans.
Going by whether the student completes the NCVT or SCVT trade courses, they become eligible to receive NCVT or SCVT certificates. Then, they can apply for jobs at the national or state level, whichever is applicable.
The vocational courses include 1-year Apprenticeship training programs as well. They get opportunities to work with organizations in the chosen trades to gain professional experience.
The Fatehabad vocational training centers offer trade courses for Fitter, Plumber, Electrician, Carpenter, Draughtsman, among others.
